My first flight was on the 25th May 2010 and was with Sky Leisure Flying school with Ian McInnes from Brighton City airport (Shoreham). I had a 2 hour taster session to see what type of aircraft I feel was right for me to gain my PPL. The 2 aircrafts were a Piper 38 Tomahawk and a Cessna 152 ii. After 10 miutes of being in the Cessna I was sold compared to the Piper, reason?? Its a fantastic aircraft with alot of history and YOU fly the aircraft, the aircraft doesnt fly you. Of course its harder to fly but why would u like to fly if its easy?? its all about using your brain at the right tim

e plus not forgetting the view you get as this aircraft is a high wing. Below is one of the aircraft we use at Sky Leiure and one of my favourites G-BNSI.
I have now over 14 hours logged and 3 exams passed. This is a start of something amazing and something I wish not to do as a hobby but as a career.
Great first post Kevin. Look forward to your next installments. As I mentioned I found it very helpful when it came to my skills test to be able to refer to flights I did.
ReplyDeleteI also found my blog to be a great help both during my PPL training and since gaining the license. Best of luck, and look forward to reading further updates.
